A lecture and slide presentation offering an in-depth look at Tiffany Studios from the stained glass artist's perspective. Topics to be covered will be a history of the Studios, the evolution of their glass production and how this unique glass was used in their windows and shades. Particular emphasis will be placed on the specialized character of their proprietary glasses and how they contributed to the sumptuous artistry that Tiffany is famous for. The lecture will feature over 500 slides of rarely seen Tiffany lamps with many close-ups of the glass work.

These two classes offer a hands-on opportunity to learn about making lamps using the Odyssey system. You'll discover how easy it is to build a beautiful Tiffany lamp using American-made art glass....learn tips and secrets on cutting, fitting and choosing the right art glass. There will be a short slide presentation on the lamps of Tiffany Studios and students will be cutting glass and fitting it on an Odyssey mold. You'll leave with a fitted flower and a good grasp of what's involved in creating a beautiful reproduction Tiffany lamp.
